10/27/00 2nd in the NBA 2000-2001 preseason rebounding.
10/31/00-season opener at San Antonio Played Tim Duncan to a push in the opening game of the season. JO- 31 mins,16 pts, 10 rebs, 1block, 5 fouls, 3 turnovers, 2 assists, 0 steals TD-29 mins, 16 pts, 10 rebs, 1 block, 5 fouls, 5 turnovers, 0 assists, 2 steals
11/8/00 - After having 24 points, 12 boards, 3 blocks, and 2 assists against Detroit J.O. was asked if this was his best game as a pro. He said clearly no shooting 9 of 19 is completely unacceptable for a player who plays around the basket. Great players are their own toughest critic.
11/20/00-12th in the NBA in Rebounds, Blocks, and Double/Doubles.
12/16/00- 30 points, 9 boards, and 2 blocks against fellow highschool to pro Kevin Garnett.
1/5/00- New career high in rebounds. 16 rebounds in an overtime victory against the Kings, who had the 2nd best record in the league at the time and had lost only 2 games at home, all year. 20 points and 5 blocks, also. | ||
